Rendering an External Copy Block Interaction

In the Configuration panel, select External Copy Block from the Interaction Type drop-down list.

To set the maximum number of selections the student may make, enter a non-negative integer in the Max Selections field or use the arrow buttons to adjust the number. If you enter
0
, the field reads “No Max” and there is no maximum. -
To set the minimum number of selections the student must make, enter a non-negative integer in the Min Selections field or use the arrow buttons to adjust the number. If you enter
0
, the field reads “No Min” and there is no minimum. -
Click the ID of the stimulus from which you want to select marked text.

You can also click the item ID to view the saved content of the item.

In the Stimulus Preview window that appears (Figure 59), select all the marked pieces of text that you want the student to be able to copy into the slot. To select all the marked text, click All. To remove a marked piece of text, click it again. To remove all marked text, click None.

You can dock and undock this window by clicking the
button.

Close the Stimulus Preview window. The marked selections are listed in the Copy Targets table (Figure 60).

Optional: To remove a marked selection, hover over it and click the remove
button that appears to the right.

To save the entered content, click
in the upper-right corner. Click OK in the confirmation pop-up that appears.
